We had a prequel with lots of ecchi, but without a story. Apparently the no-story part worked, so let's add some more ecchi and even less plot.
As in Amanaedeyo , the scenes are still extremely ecchi and this second season manages to push out episodes which are even more graphic and have even less story. For people who like ecchi series with silly comedy, this is a must-have. For people who do not live for silly ecchi, what the hell are you doing here after having seen its prequel?!
Animation: Practically impossible to look away from all the ecchi
Expect about the same for this series as its prequel. The animation has been a slight bit better, but they negate that by having several flashbacks throughout the series - and especially the latter ones. That by itself isn't so bad, if they wouldn't also reuse the flashbacks as well. Just because it doesn't fit the scene to have more fanservice shots in there doesn't mean you need to add a flashback where you only show those specific shots in order to have the fanservice after all.
What was the target of the show, get a 1:3 fanservice scene ratio? *rolleyes*
Still, the girls are fun to watch since the character design hasn't changed at all and also Kazuki is a nice girl to have in this series, visually spoken.
Sound: Nice music and they actually changed the parody-speech.
Remember how there would be a voice yelling “Ooohhh, yeaaaaaah!” whenever someone got into a daring pose? They kept that in this series as well, but added a few more variety in those yells as well, which is pretty fun to hear.
The music is quite unremarkable, but the OP and ED are as before also nice songs to hear. They did invent some new songs for them, which also play during the series in some scenes. Apparently the music section didn't get a lot of money to use music, so they had to rehash their own songs - which, really, do fit the anime perfectly. In the end I have to admit that I actually liked the music more than the series itself, but that might be just me ;)
The voiceactors are still doing a decent job and with the addition of Kazuki, there hasn't been any change.
Characters: What exactly was Kazuki's role again? Getting naked, or was there something deeper?
Remember the extremely huge character development in the first series? No? That might be well possible, because there was hardly any character development in the first place. This second series actually does even less about that. I was not sure how that was possible before, but after having seen this show, I now know.
There have been some episodes which focus on a specific character, to give some character depth, but that usually has only effect for that episode. The very next episode they've reverted back to their original character, losing all of the (extremely small) development they tried to add in the previous episode. Is there some reset-button in a trigger somewhere, or what?
KazukiThey added a new character named Kazuki, but except for seeing her naked or in ecchi cosplay all the time, we actually do not really know what the hell her role was supposed to be. We get some hints throughout the series which contradict themselves sometimes, but very clear it doesn't get anywhere. In the very last episode there is some explanation for her integrated in the plot, but it feels like they kind of had forgotten her initial purpose and just made her into a ‘lover for Ikkou’.
Story: “How to get the most ecchiness”, until the last episode, when a plot kicks in - and ends.
After the first season, one would believe there would actually be a bit of a romance blossoming between Chitose and Ikkou and after having seen the OP-animation, it really seems like there will be something in this series. But the opposite is true. There is a new love rival and the series wraps itself in a shell of Love Hina'ish events, of which nearly none have any effect on the real love-relationship of the couple. Is that a spoiler? Perhaps it is, but really, if they try to add an aspect to a series, at least do something with it! But the only thing where anything actually happens story-wise is -again- in the last episode. I think even the first season actually managed to use 2 episodes to get to some conclusion, but the last episode in this second series is even more shallow than its prequel and is actually even less exciting. The one moment there is something exciting, you notice that there is less than 10 minutes (yes, they actually manage to wait till after the half-time break!) and you lose all hope for anything conclusive.
The only thing which may indicate this, is that there will be a 3rd season as well.
But really, after having seen these 26 episodes, where nearly all possible fetishes have already been acted out, what exactly do they have to offer?
Value & Enjoyment: Pretty much a failure.
If you enjoyed those mid-episode art-shots, you will love the special which belongs to this series. They're all gathered in there, together with some more ecchi shots which make even less sense than what we have seen already. It's all there in a sort of movie/interview-setting, which is somewhat funny.
As for enjoyment, I think I'll go with what I said before: if you like silly ecchi, this is a must have.
